Founded by Andreas Wanda and Dave Kelly, Birdwalk was born from decades inside Australian post-production. It was built to function and manage the way traditional filmmakers actually work — not to lock users into a single platform, but to help them manage and build a narrative without thinking about file management.

Birdwalk gives filmmakers access to the most powerful AI generation tools alongside the ability to ingest live action shots, used as-is or augmented. Both Andreas and Dave have spent their careers in post-production, and wanted to create an environment that felt familiar and allowed real collaboration — because filmmaking is rarely a one-person show.

Andreas Wanda

Andreas is a Sydney-based VFX and animation specialist with a career spanning photography, animation, and visual effects since 1999. He has worked at Australia's most respected post-production houses — Animal Logic, Fuel VFX, Fin Design, and Alt VFX — and alongside collaborators including Oscar-winning cinematographers John Seale and Greig Fraser as well as director Garth Davis.

His work covers character animation, VFX supervision, and technical direction across film, television, advertising, VR, AR, and mixed reality. Andreas studied computer science and electronic engineering, and brings a deep technical foundation in 3D scanning, motion capture, motion control, and cloud-based studio architecture.

He also founded Atmos Studios, the creative-technology studio behind Birdwalk.

Dave Kelly

Dave brings more than 30 years in the industry, working at Australia's leading design, animation, and visual effects companies in roles from producing through to senior management. His experience spans bidding, pitching, and producing commercials, television series, and feature films; building sales and developing client relationships; and managing studios alongside key stakeholders.

He is an experienced project manager with a broad technical skill set and high-level visualisation capabilities. Dave has a strong background in all aspects of the creative and production process, and is happiest collaborating with team members and business leaders to develop creative solutions to project and business challenges.
